Rose Marie Vigilante, 76, a lifetime resident of Kennett Square, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Vigilante, who passed away in 2002 and with whom she shared 46 years of marriage.
Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Madeline Giovinco Falcone and Paul Falcone.
Rose was a longtime parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church and was employed by St. Patrick Parish for the past 30 years as chef and housekeeper for The Rev. Father Victor F. Sharrett.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, talking on the phone, and shopping.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in law, MaryAnn and Rob Misetic of Exton; a son, Michael A. Vigilante of Los Angeles, Calif.; a devoted sister, Theresa Watson and her husband Walter of West Grove; a brother, Joseph Falcone of Naples, Fla.; and by one grandson, Michael Misetic.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Louise Falcone.
You are invited to visit with Rose’s family and friends on Friday, May 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, May 8 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State St., Kennett Square, PA.
Her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Patrick Church, 212 Meredith St., Kennett Square, PA.
Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Rose’s memory to the St. Patrick’s Building Fund, 205 Lafayette St., Kennett Square, PA 19348.
